Louise’s Bridal Hair and Makeup in London
I absolutely love what I do! Being a wedding hair and makeup artist allows me to be part of some of the most memorable moments in my brides’ lives. Some weddings I will remember for a long time, and Louise's was no exception. I had the pleasure of creating hair and makeup at The Ned Hotel in London, one of the city’s most iconic and luxurious wedding venues. It has a brilliant bar/ restaurant that is huge as it used to be a bank. It sings with a "speak-easy" vintage flair that really does make you gasp in awe at how architecturally opulent the building inside is. Perfect setting for anyone getting ready on their wedding mornings!
A Joyful Reunion: Bridal Hair and Makeup for Sisters
Louise’s wedding was particularly special for me because it wasn’t my first time working with her family. A few years ago, I had the honour of doing her sister Sophie’s hair and makeup for her wedding at Botleys Mansion. To be asked to create another bridal look but this time for Louise’s big day felt like the highest compliment. Building lasting relationships with my clients and being invited back for such important occasions means the world to me.
The Brides Stunning Wedding Day Look
For Louise’s wedding at The Ned, we went for a soft glam makeup look that enhanced her natural beauty. Soft glam is such a versatile style – it’s all about creating a radiant and polished appearance with glowing skin, subtly defined eyes, and perfectly balanced lips. We used a gorgeous pop of shimmer on her eye, by Made by Mitchell which honestly made her eyes sing!
To complement her bridal makeup, Louise opted for a sleek low bun, a classic hairstyle that worked beautifully with her wedding dress and the sophisticated ambiance of The Ned. The sleek low bun is a timeless choice that not only photographs beautifully but also stays secure throughout a day full of celebrations.
Capturing the day at The Ned Hotel
Taylor Hughes Photography captured every moment perfectly. I’ve long admired their work, and their natural, editorial style is a dream for showcasing bridal hair and makeup. Their images of Louise looked absolutely stunning and highlighted every detail of her soft glam bridal look perfectly. I think she looked like a Hollywood movie star and was thrilled to receive these editorial style images.
I have the best brides!
I feel so lucky to work with incredible brides like Louise and Sophie. Every wedding is a new opportunity to be creative and make someone feel their most confident and beautiful on one of the most important days of their life. Knowing that my work helps a bride walk down the aisle feeling her absolute best is the most rewarding part of my job.
To all my wonderful brides: thank you for trusting me with your special moments. Your loyalty and kind words mean the world to me, and it’s an honour to play a small part in your big day.
