As a bridal hair and makeup artist located in Surrey, I've had the pleasure of creating beautiful, romantic looks for many local brides. If you're planning a wedding in the scenic Surrey countryside, here are some of the most popular and on-trend hairstyles and makeup styles I am predicting for 2025.
Half- up bridal hairstyles but make it modern...
No bride in 2025 wants to feel like she is going to prom. Long gone are plaits that make us feel childish. Think Modern, sleek waves that are playful and sexy. To have a more high end, luxury aesthetic for your wedding day hair, most half- up hairstyles may need a little help with a few wefts of hair extensions to give that Hollywood wave effect a fighting chance of holding from morning until evening. I love using Clip Hair Seamless wefts as they lay flat against the head, making them even more undetectable. I am seeing lots of "knotted" half- up hairstyles that give a modern and stylish vibe than previous traditional half up styles.
Wedding Hollywood waves - But what if I want to wear a veil?
So often I hear from my brides who wish to wear a veil in their wedding hair that they can't have their hair all down... Wrong! Your Surrey wedding hair and makeup artist here has a few tricks up her sleeve in making sure you can have your dream bridal hair AND wear a veil. So don't rule out most of your hair down. It can for most people feel the most comfortable, and by elevating the look to a more luxurious and glamorous bridal hairstyle it will feel more special than your usual hair down.
Pro Tip:Â When choosing a style, consider your venue. For example, romantic Hollywood waves look stunning in venues with historic charm like Loseley Park or Botleys Mansion. While half-up styles work beautifully in more relaxed garden settings such as Painshill Park or Wotton House.
As a specialist wedding makeup artist in Surrey, I know how important it is to have a flawless look that captures both romance and luxury, whilst still feeling like yourself.
Soft glam bridal makeup, more than just natural...
Soft glam bridal makeup starts with glowing skin, and with my complimentary skincare guide you lucky 2025 brides are in for a treat when you book. You will be well on your way to achieving this in-demand makeup look for your wedding day.
Natural makeup is not to be confused with neutral makeup, which is why Soft glam is a much better way of describing this more high end, luxury makeup look.
Natural makeup is more of a clean girl aesthetic, meaning minimal makeup application, but enhancing your features, which I still do love. However for next year the modern Soft glam trend uses neutral earthy tones, but is applied in a more sculpted fashion. It isn't heavy, but it's visible you are wearing makeup. I love that this versatile look can be "dialled up" dependant on your comforts. Some of my favourite Soft glam eyeshadows to work with are the quads by Charlotte Tilbury, In particular her Pillow Talk palette. It has a gorgeous warm undertone and shades with shimmer to give a pop to the eye.
The skill in a great soft glam, dewy skin and overall radiant bridal makeup look is: skincare, great makeup products and a wedding makeup artist that knows how to layer products.
