26 Nov AMBER LIGHTS: WEARABLE GOLD PRODUCTS FOR CHRISTMAS
With Christmas lurking round the corner it’s my favourite time of year for one colour in particular that is close to my heart… GOLD.
Gold for me is one of the most hypnotic makeup shades. I simply cannot walk past a makeup counter without touching something gold, whether it be the makeup itself or the luxury packaging. I am a magpie in the beauty department glimpsing for something glittery, whether it be slightly tarnished or sparkly, I find gold visually captivating, which is why it works so well as a makeup shade. The colour of gold enhances your look whatever shade your skin and can make eyes seem brighter.
The makeup I created for the shoot on the left is aptly named ” Queen of the Forest”. I opted for a smokey eye but with a pop of gold towards the inside of the models eye. I teamed this with a strong black kohl pencil creating this “fierce sexiness” behind her eyes that really adds drama to the look.
For the Two Temple Place London shoot, I created a look designed to celebrate English elegance. The gold I used was a subdued shade and was more of a rose gold that I lightly dusted across her inner eye to add a sheen of gold.
Whether you like wearing gold in a subtle or bold way, here are my favourite wearable gold products for this Christmas that will be sure to be on your lists to santa:
